On the coast facing the open sea, in the cove of Traste, in almost unreal bay, one finds the hotel Plavi horizont. The crystal clear sea, four kilometers long, well-cared for walkways around the bay, with intimate resting places and easily accesible natural coves providing a feeling of unhindered contact and links with nature, and a complete service, have earned the certificate of ''Blue flag'' for this beach. The bay of Traste is a special challenge for divers and anglers.The fine sand of Plavi Horizont beach is ideal for children and the young. Plavi Horizont is a paradise for all those who enjoy its waves.

Apart from the sandy beach, there are flat areas on the rocks for those who seek more privacy. The microclimate of this area is very favourable; the beach is naturally protected from winter winds, thus having 180 days a year without wind. Average annual temperature is 15°C, August being the warmest month with 24.6°C and January the coldest with 7.3°C. It is also interesting that this cove has the largest number of sunny days (200) at the Adriatic coast.

Along the whole length of the beach there is a promenade and a jogging path. The promenade is 1800 meters long. There are benches for rest and lights with discrete illumination for the evening. During warm summer nights swimmers can be seen, but also those enjoying wonderful scenery and characteristic smell of the sea. It is very romantic to look at the starry skies above the bay of Trašte. There is a walking path towards the village of Bigova 4700m long, giving opportunity for recreation and keeping fit.
